Alright, so it sounds like we are in agreement for the POI? Yes? Now we
should think up the important/interesting features of the environment
and have each group member design one feature.
I can picture Knickerbocker and his goons sitting in a dimly lit table in a private booth. The bar could have a lot of character interaction, the stage is also important.
I'm trying to think of ways to make this look like a mouse building, like the bar stools could be made from bottle caps, or the stage is a decorated wooden crate. We don't have to do that, but it might be interesting.
I like the idea of the environment being to scale of mice and made of found objects. Before we start getting as specific as the details though, we should probably break down what we want to become POI material.
Alright--so, just to clarify, we're focused on the hotel/bar sort of thing we have going on? With the stage, dance floor, dining area and bar? Or are we narrowing it down further?
Err--since it'll probably take a little while to get everyone on skype, maybe send out an email and redirect the team to the google doc? We can put up the list of POI material we came up with on here and make a sign-up like we did for the story beats I guess. And they could also add their own ideas if they'd rather do that as well.

Delete-Stage
-Private Booth
-Bar
Add on whatever you think of to get things going.
Hmm...maybe a back room behind the bar or the stage where the characters would have more private conversations.
DeleteMaybe it could be the Dame's dressing room?
DeleteOh yeah, that's a good idea, and the musicians and other performers could use that back area too.
DeleteWe could have a stairway going up to the hotel rooms. I don't know if that would be something important to feature, though.
DeleteThere could be the double doors to the kitchen (that is, if we want to include dining tables in the POI).
Not too sure on the double-doors either... maybe the reception area? We could also break down what we have further now that we have some ideas down.
DeleteStage - Sound equipment/instruments, curtains, decorations, etc.
Bar - Alcohol bottles, bar stools, alcohol display case, counter
Private Booth - Table decorations (candle, flower vase, cigarette tray), hanging lamps
Dressing Room - Door design, makeup items, vanity table

ReplyDeleteAlso, if you guys are ok with it--I think a skype chatroom would be a more convenient method of communication?
ReplyDeleteThat could help. I am wondering if some people aren't able to post stuff on this blog.
DeleteProbably--I think one or two of our members isn't even listed as part of the blog? My skype is just my real name--Kimilyn Yoshizawa.
DeleteMy skype is sonjool. I'm not sure how to set up a group chat but I agree that it will be easier for a lot of other people.
DeleteI think I need to create a Skype account first.
